Safety is fundamental to everything we do. We recognise the responsibility we carry when placing someone into a client’s workplace.
Whadjuk Noongar Country · Western Australia
Our people work in environments where strong safety performance is essential, and we recognise the responsibility we carry when placing someone into a client’s workplace.
Koorta Boodjar’s workforce processes are designed to ensure personnel are appropriately screened, verified and prepared before commencing work.
Before day one
Safety Starts Before Mobilisation
Our safety process begins during recruitment. Where relevant to the position and project, we verify:
- Qualifications
- Trade certificates
- High Risk Work Licences
- Tickets and competencies
- VOC requirements
- Medical requirements
- Site-specific inductions
- Relevant licences
- Client onboarding requirements
This helps ensure our workers arrive prepared for the environment in which they will be working.
On site
Working Within Client Safety Systems
Every project has different requirements.
Our workforce is expected to operate within the safety management systems, procedures and standards established by each client and project.
This includes compliance with relevant Western Australian Work Health and Safety legislation and site-specific requirements.
Fit for the task
Fitness for Work
Workers must be capable of performing their duties safely. Our mobilisation processes can incorporate client-specific requirements relating to:
- Medical assessment
- Drug and alcohol screening
- Fitness for work
- Fatigue management
- Site access requirements
Throughout the placement
Ongoing Workforce Support
Our responsibility does not end when a worker arrives on site.
We maintain communication with our workforce and clients throughout placements so concerns can be identified, communicated and addressed as early as possible.
This approach supports stronger workforce relationships, improved communication and better safety outcomes.
Our commitment
Everyone Goes Home Safely
No project outcome is more important than the safety and wellbeing of our people. Safety is not an additional requirement. It is part of how we work.
